TRATA smoked herring contains tender fillets in vegetable oil, which have been cold smoked in a wood-fired oven in modern facilities, with extra attention to the duration of smoking for a balance of flavour. Trata use special wood chips in order to obtain a safe smoked product, highlighting a ripe smell and taste. TRATA herring retains the distinctive, rich flavour of smoked fish with a subtle saltiness.

This product comes from a fishery that has been independently certified to the MSC’s standard for a well-managed and sustainable fishery.
