Lentils form the main ingredient of yet another traditional Greek dish, Lentil Soup. A dish enjoyed with small variations all over Greece, mainly through the winter months.


Mostly known for being rich in iron and protein, lentils are also very low in saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium. They are also a good source of phosphorus and copper, and a very good source of fiber, folate and manganese.
