Astarti have utilized the long baking tradition of the island of Kythera and using the recipe and guidance of their nutritionist have developed, in their neighbourhood bakery, this unique barley rusk. They have selected the most natural, certified organic ingredients, originating from small producers, like the whole grain and stone milled barley flours and the natural, unrefined sea salt from the rocks of the Kytherian coast that go into making these authentic Greek rusks.
These rusks have a high content of dietary fibres and are ideal for making a dakos salad. Alternatively you can combine with some milk and honey for a super healthy breakfast.
It is recommended to first lightly moist the rusks prior to use.
