Bulgur wheat is parboiled wheat with the special advantage of reduced cooking time. It can be prepared by boiling it on medium heat for about 5mins then letting it rest until it absords the water. This medium coarse bulgur wheat is perfect for salads, such as tabbouleh, as well as a side for stews instead of rice.
