In this tasting we’ll explore how a given landscape (much beyond the vineyard), with its specific fauna e flora, encourages the development of certain aromas and flavours in wine.
You will awaken your smell and taste buds to a range of herbal, floral and earthy qualities with clear parallels to the species that share the vineyards’ ecosystem. On the table we will have herbs, honey and cheeses that will show you how terroir doesn’t only express itself through wine.
Our wine expert Ines Salpico Soramaki will guide you through the tasting of six different wines. But not quite in an orthodox way. Along with the analysis of grape varieties, soil and climate, we will look at flavour and aroma in relation to other products of the same region. Have you considered that the sheep grazing the herbs along a vineyard may produce a milk with similar floral characteristics as the grapes harvested from the same plot?!
