Mastic is the resin obtained from the mastic tree. It is produced from the trunk and branches of the mastic tree, which appears in teardrop shape among the scratches and falls to the ground in drops.
This mastic, produced by The Chios Gum Mastic Growers Association, is a whitish powder with the characteristic aroma of Chios Mastic Gum and a slightly sweet taste.
